George PR Knows How You Want It
February 22, 2012

As a public relations company, George PR’s website is often their first point on contact with prospective clients. In developing a new web presence for the company, it was crucial to show the company’s understanding of new technologies and how information is consumed. An iPad or tablet friendly site is a must as these devices are a fast growing percentage of the way we are consuming media. To design for a tablet, one must rethink the structure of information and how we navigate it. Drop down menus designed for the age of mice are clumbsy and often take too long to navigate. With content at your “finger tips”, one must be able to access information effortlessly and quickly. For George PR’s site, scrolling was broken down into horizontal and vertical and assigned to navigation and consumption respestively. This simple linear and lateral approach to organization of information allows George to offer their content in a format that fully embraces the gestural navigation of new tablets while providing and effortless and logical organization to their presence on a desktop or laptop. The new website shows their clients that George PR truly understands how information is consumed today; exactly what prospective clients are looking for.
